Christians send missionaries into the entire world in obedience to the teaching of Jesus Christ (Mt.28:18-20; Ac.1:8). The goal of Christian missions is to bring glory to Christ by proclaiming his death, burial and resurrection to people who have never heard the gospel. Those who believe the message of Jesus Christ gather themselves into local churches to worship God and to serve mankind.

A skilful missionary trains national believers from the country to which he has gone in assuming leadership of the new church. The missionary then goes to other areas to begin the process anew.

We believe that missionaries are to be supported in their efforts to share the gospel. Support comes in many forms: financial, prayers, visits, communication, and organizational support. At Cornerstone Baptist, financial support comes mainly through "Faith Promise" giving. Faith Promise encourages giving to missions by praying in a specific dollar amount each month.
